Isis is a powerful Egyptian Goddess, she is the embodiment of all that is feminine as a vessel for divine expression, and represents qualities of fertility, intuition, love, compassion and strength, as well as a women's curiosity and natural mischievousness (we are supposedly capable of plotting to have our way!). Isis convinced the mighty sun God Re, to tell her his secret names, thereby passing his power to her, however, she is also popular as a devoted spouse and mother and as the protector of the dead in the afterlife.

She is always represented in Ancient Egyptian Art and Heiroglyphs with large wings.
In Belly Dancing, wings of Isis are used for ancient Egyptian temple-style dances - they show both Isis's strength and gentleness.
